There are no gears limiting the maximum acceleration, therefore, the torque is always at 100%. If you are not gentle enough, you can actually end up falling off of the bike. It will take some time before you get used to it.
Be Ready to Use Your Brakes
Gas powered-vehicles are known for their ability to slow down while going downhill. Electric vehicles, on the other hand, have no gears to slow them down. You will have to keep that in mind and be prepared to use your brakes instead.
