Zachary Norman of Venice, California will try to set a record in the Omega class on his electric-powered Harley-Davidson motorcycle at the Bonneville Nationals SpeedWeek. The experimental bike is built around the frame of a 1940s-vintage Harley and is intended for street use. After plugging it in to a normal socket, he expects it to go well over 70 mph.

How long is the extension cord?
Will he make 70 MPH before it runs out?

I just rebuilt a 74 HD Sportster which I hope to sell to get the finances to build an electric motorcycle. I have the plans in hand for a etek powered electric bike called EL Chopper. It is expected to do about 40 mph with a 30 mile range. I also have a Forever (Chinese) electric bicycle which I enjoy. I’m 73 yrs young… thanks, Carl
